My Training
My Story

I started off as an Elementary Education major but that wasn't cutting it for me. I needed more excitment and something a little more personal. I took some time away from school to figure out what I wanted to do. I worked in an infant room for about two years as a lead teacher and then left to be a nanny. One day we were discussing how her kids were born and she was talking about how she had a labor doula. I had no idea what that was so I went home and googled it. I some how found myself watching birth story videos on youtube and it clicked. I wanted to be apart of that. I got into contact with a local teacher who works for CAPPA training future certified labor doulas and I decided to tke the class. I completely fell in love. From there I decided to go deeper into my education and signed up to get my Certified Lactation Educator certificate, Herbalist certificate, Hypnodoula certificate, and my Certified Nurses Assitant.

My Philosophy

I believe every woman and family should birth the way they want to give birth. Every decision made should be an informed decision. I believe my role as a Labor Doula is to always support my clients mentally, physically, and informationally regaurdless of choices, culture, situation, or any other factor that may be looked down upon.
